Get To Know Him As He Really Is

I want to get to know Him
as He really is ---

Not only do I want to
but so does everyone else ---

God has been misrepresented
by those who don't know Him ---

Too many of us think that
He's an angry God that's
out to get us,

Whose eye us just on the righteous,

Who expects us to be famous,
to have all these material
possessions,

Who expects us to have a
prestigious job,
to have lots of friends,

Who expects us to be perfect,
making no mistakes what-so-ever,

Who expects us to know everything
in the world!

But God's NOT distant and angry ---

He's, in fact, The Complete Expression
of Love ---

And no He did not come to call the righteous
but sinners to repentance,

And He came NOT to condemn the world
but to SAVE it!

Yes Jesus went into the worst parts
of the world
and sought out the most unclean,
wicked people

And made disciples out of them!

Jesus dined with these people
even though they were the chief
of all sinners

And yet He showed them His grace
and mercy!!!

For God is not a respecter of persons,

All have sinned, all have come short
of glory

There is no difference ---

Yet we are perfect in Christ ---

Anyone who believes in Him
shall not perish but have
life eternally,

And we are being made righteous
in Jesus Christ,

We will never be perfect
until Christ comes to get us!

So no God's not angry with us,
He sees all and He knows all,

He's totally in control!

And I want to get to know Him
as He really is
as well as those who are too
ashamed and too afraid to ask!
