 Being me(Uplifting)
Being me(Uplifting)

For many years
through out my teens
and then into early adulthood
I walked in darkness
through the confusions
and the illusions
of every day events
just so that I could fit in
with everyone
and I had to learn
the hard way
from some of the bad decisions
that I used to make
so that I could grow on the inside
and become a better person some day

I knew that I had to
make better choices
so that I could move forward in life
instead of always looking behind me

I finally woke up one day
and everything started
fitting into place
because I finally let go
of all the things that used
to stand in my way

And this was when
I finally found
my own identity

There comes a day
when we are finally
able to be comfortable
in our own skin
and we are then free
to be whoever we want to be

I can honestly say that I have
reached that point in my life
where the darkness is no longer
clouding my thoughts
because it is finally behind me

Because I have finally
seen the light
that is right in front of me

And I no longer feel guilty
for just being me
