You Want A Relationship
You want a relationship ---
Deep down, you really want a relationship!
You've been deceived many times
and did not even know it,
You've been led to believe that He's
distant, angry, and punitive ---
You've been led to believe that He judges
us just like we do with one another,
But guess what?
He's not distant and angry ---
And no, He doesn't judge us based
on our human standards,
on our cultural values
or even on the rules that we've been
taught all of our lives ---
He loves us in spite of our sins,
in spite of our refusal
And no, He does not count our sins
against us ---
God is for us, not against us ---
That's what the Son said when
He walked this earth ---
He understands our every weakness,
our every limitation
due to our own condition,
more than you and I would like to think ---
That's why He greatly humbled
Himself,
becoming sin for us
so that we'll be reconciled
with the Father ---
So, my dearest angel,
Please don't be afraid any longer!
Please just open your heart
and allow the Love of Christ
to take over!
