You Set Me Free
As I look to the heaven and see the skies'
I see the beauty;that,you share within your eyes.
You have given light to this once weary soul,
filling me with love and making me whole!
I never dreamed my heart could love again;
For,anyone besides my babies or my kin!
tonight,driving down the road,
Our children and you were all that was in my heart.
Dear God,My feelings were warm and very bold,
not an ounce of anger,my heart was not cold!
I shed tears for the first time in awhile.
I was happy;and,my face wore a true smile!
Lord,have I thanked you lately for all that you've shared with me?
Have I told you,"Thank You"for the tenderness you let me see?
The small storms that come and go,
do not seem so bad with love in my heart;as,you well know!
This bright rainbow I see when I close my eyes,
fills every new day with a greater surprise!
Lord,I know I cannot barter with my past sin;
but,please forgive the bitterness I held deep within!
I knew you were always beside me through good and bad,
Through the abuse I received that made me so sad!
I thank you dear God,for taking this away and making us glad!
Dear Lord,this man you have sent to me,
help him to see happiness,far more than I see!
Please,give him a heart full of sunshine and you,
help him forgive;and,never be blue!
This man is a good man indeed!
He has a heart,not full of greed!
He is tender,compassionate,and free.
Lord,he is special.
Lord,please help him believe!
Amen!
This was written for my best friend Jeff .
We have both had plenty of mental abuse sent our way.
I know people who have been taken advantage of,abused,and wrongfully used
for whatever reasons tend to scare when a real honest and loving friend
and lover is gets close to the heart.
I can only pray ;that,we are strong enough to survive these trying times.
I love you with all my heart Jeff.Believe .It is True!
