My Love is Your Love
"My love is your love",
That's what he said to me.
So, we began to love as one
To test our destiny.
But then there came a certain time
When our love was simply dead.
And we no longer shared our lives,
We argued and fought instead.
And then I called to break the news,
How I had found someone else.
He didn't try to stop me from leaving,
He just kept his thoughts to himself.
I told him I had finally gotten the chance
Of being happy once more
And I was going to take it
Because I needed joy, like before.
I still think of him…
On Saturday mornings and rainy days.
But now I have you with me
So, I know I will be okay.
"My love is your love",
That's what he said to me.
So, we began to live as one
But it wasn't destiny.
