Poems From The Heart

Having Class With a boyfriend

Just across the room
And yet, a world away.
I stare at you some while
And long for your embrace.

The distance is killing me
I can't wait until the bell
Until I get another kiss
My life is only hell.

To pass this difficult class
I must pay attention and learn
But all I can do is daydream about you
Hoping to cool this burn.

And so, the time ticks slowly
I see you blink your eyes.
From my desk I see you clearly
It seems you're doing fine.

But I am slowly dying
Because I just want you
But since I cannot hold you
My soul is turning blue…

And then to my surprise
I hear a beautiful thing!
I time has finally passed.
The bell begins to ring.

As we casually stroll down the hall
I no longer am filled with sorrow
I will not be tortured anymore
Well, at least not until tomorrow.
