Poems From The Heart

Agony and Ecstasy

Let me be a bird
Let me be so free
Save me from this world
And all its agony.

Let me hold your hands
While you make love to me
Let us stay forever
In this sweet ecstasy.

Take away me pain
So happy I may be
Don't leave me so alone
In all this agony.

Give me a new light
For all the world to see
Stay with me, dear love
In this sweet ecstasy.

Tell me the difference
Between these two:
Agony and Ecstasy,
Before we're through

Explore my body
Give me pleasure;
Destroy my heart
For someone more treasured.
Love is always pain
And pain will always be
Something everyone witnesses
Inside all Agony

But love is sometimes bliss
And bliss will always be
Something everyone experiences
Inside all ecstasy.
