Someone you have known

(I recently found out that someone
that I have known in the poetry community
has recently lost a loved one
so I was inclined to write a poem
on behalf of him.God bless you my poetry friend)
Tears are falling
from your eyes
right now
because someone
you have truly loved
has just passed away
and you are having
a lot of difficulty
dealing with all of
your mixed emotions
that you are feeling inside
All of this
came to you
as a big surprise
And at the moment
you are truly feeling
helpless and alone
And these things
are to be expected
and understood
when you have lost someone
that you have known
your whole life time
It is going to take you some time
to recover and to heal from your loss
and it wont be easy by any means
Because you will
honestly miss them
with all your heart and soul
for the rest of your life
I know how heart wrenching
you must feel
I have gone through
what you are going
through right now
a long time ago
And I know how hard
this has all been for you
and I truly do feel for you
The sad thing about all of this
is that you didn't even know
more or less have a clue
that the person that you have known
your whole life time was dying
because nobody told you
Nothing like this is ever easy
and it will take you a lifetime
to understand why this happened to you
I am here for you
if you need me
and I will also pray for you
and all of your loved ones too
I am sure they will all
need support too
Hopefully in time
you will be able to heal
from this tragic moment that
you are going through right now
In the mean time
try to get your
composure together
a little bit each day
because it's the only
path that you can take
so that you can
recover and start healing inside
