God the Son
Jesus Christ was truly God,
To whom we honor and laud;
Not equal to the Father,
But to us as a brother.
So He gave up everything,
For the salvation to bring;
While He became a slave,
Until He lay in the grave.
For Jesus Christ became one,
Like us in being the Son;
Humble Himself to obey,
As the Father would convey.
He even died on the cross,
Tormented to suffer loss;
Then was taken up on high,
As we laud and glorify.
Soon Jesus Christ shall return,
At a time when all will learn;
Everyone will bow on earth,
Believers given rebirth.
