I can feel the Lords unconditional love for me

By the mercy of the Lord
many doors have recently
been opened for me
Because I am free
and able to see more clearly
Because I can feel
the Lords unconditional love
for me
My life used to be
filled with ups and downs
But they are nothing
like they used to be
Because way back in the day
I have had to learn many
of my lessons in life
the hard way
Because I was to foolish to see
all the promises
that he had in store for me
Because I was blinded
through out my life
by my own earthly ways
And for so many years
I couldn't't see
as clearly as I can today
And yet the Lord has
stood beside me
like a Father would
as he continued to guide me
even when I steered away
and had gone astray
And the Lord would still
pick me back up again
So that I could find my way
to a new beginning
I am honestly thankful
that the Lord
hasn't't given up on me
and that he has continued
to help me through out
the course of my life
Because if it wasn't't for him
intervening in my life like he did
I wouldn't't be here today
I am still a work in progress
and there are still
bits and pieces of me
that need some fine tuning
But I can say that
I am most surly not quite
the mess that I used to be
Because I am still wet clay
that is ready to be molded
a piece at a time
by the Lords hands every day
Because I know that he
watches over me
and he guides me
and surrounds me
with his unconditional
love every day
