Not knowing is the hardest part

(This poem is written about my pet who has been having seizures for the last
eight months.)
(God Bless you and thank you for visiting today)
Its often hard to see your pet go through seizures
because you never know when they will come
and you never know when they will be over
and you feel so helpless when they are having one
And you never know
if there will be just one
or if there will be several
so you always have to be prepared
to go into automatic pilot
When my pet does have one
all I can do is try to comfort him
in the best way that I can
I have had my dog for ten wonderful years
and when he has seizures
it just brings me to tears
The two of us are fighters
and we do make a good team
and we will never give up
until the end
Every time he has a seizure
I try to go through it with him
and I try to love him as much as I can
and I continue to be compassionate and kind
When it is all over
I try to prepare myself
for the next time
and then I go through it
with him all over again
I think that not knowing is the hardest part
because I never know when
his next seizure will be coming.
In the mean time I will continue praying
for a miracle made just for him
