(This poem is dedicated to Giovanni and Lexi
my two precious grand children)
Every day is a
special day especially
when I am able to
spend some time with
my two grand children
I know the years will
go by quickly
so I am going to enjoy
every possible moment with them
while they are still young
I know that
there will come a day
when they will grow up
and find there own way
Hopefully I will still be around
so that we can all look back in time
and share the beautiful memories
that we were able to share together
back when they were young
But for the time being
I am going to enjoy
every moment that I possibly can
with the two of them
while they are still growing
so that I can watch them
as they develop new personalities
and there own unique identitys
I do know
that there will come a day
when they will be all grown up
and out on there own
living there own lives
to discover a whole new journey
And if I am still around
which I truly hope that I am
Then I can watch them become the best
that they can possibly be
