i havent written a poem since mothers day in may:
on april 30th 2007, my dear old mother passed away:
i wrote her a simple mothers day poem:
without her now i feel so alone:
she was my rock and the foundation of my life:
i feel wounded as if cut by a knife:
but i will live my life as she did the best that i can:
with faith,hope and love always stand:
i think of every word that she ever said:
i remember as a boy how she tucked me in bed:
all of the little things that she did:
i remember every little thing as a kid:
growing up she kept me from harm:
my dear mother had such charm:
this is just a simple poem to honor my mother:
for my life i will love her greater than any other:
for those of you who still have a mother alive:
visit them no matter how far the drive:
honor thy father and mother:
love them greater than any other:
