The Lord has taught me
through humility and through grace
that through him
anything can be possible
At times we must literally
fall down to our knees
in order for us to understand and see
what the Lord has in store
for each and everyone of us
Life is filled with many hidden lessons
We just need to open our eyes
to see the blessings
that have come our way
Through our youth we rebel
and we only see things our way
and not the Lords way
But as we get older
we begin to see
the subtle changes taking place
and this is when we begin to transform
in a special way
and we realize just how thankful we were
that the Lord never walked away
because of him were blessed with another day
so that we could become better human beings
and finally be able to see the light of day
The good thing is that
we no longer see the bright lights
of a train wreck coming our way
because we have finally
become wiser and more humbled
then we ever were when we were young
Life is so very short
and I am truly thankful
that I am still alive today
to share my thoughts with you in a special way
