There's a bite in the air that's exciting
A crispness that beckons winter nears
Cosy coats pulled across our chest
Icicles dangling from our ears!
There's a lovely crunch underfoot when I step out
A sparkling blanket of frost awaits at my door
I must watch my step when I'm walking
Don't want to end up flat out on the floor!
I love closing the curtains early evening
Weathered logs stacked high on the fire
Curling up on the sofa with a hot toddy
Searching the flames to see the dreams I aspire.
