Life Dreams / Lucid Living (c) 2003
Inter States of Being
"What are these people
doing in my living
room?"
A querulous, trembling,
serious query
furrowed anxious brows
fear floods
his toes
"What are they doing
here?"
The people who weren't there just
watched him,
arms crossed
motionless
silent
They just stood there
and watched him
Across the room,
across wide, saddened, tear-drenched miles,
A sister
calls 911
from another state
of mind than his
He's afraid of them
She's afraid for him
Helpless
doing in my living
room?"
A querulous, trembling,
serious query
furrowed anxious brows
fear floods
his toes
"What are they doing
here?"
The people who weren't there just
watched him,
arms crossed
motionless
silent
They just stood there
and watched him
Across the room,
across wide, saddened, tear-drenched miles,
A sister
calls 911
from another state
of mind than his
He's afraid of them
She's afraid for him
Helpless
