 Life

What is Life?
Life is as short
as a buffalo's breath
on a cold winter mourning.
It is as long as
a gray wolf's trail
leading out over fields of snow.
Life is as fragil
as a new-born deer fawn,
and as strong as a grizzly bear.
Life is as beautiful
as an eagle flying
over a lush green valley,
and as ugly as a beheaded elk
killed for its antlers.
But Life lasts forever.
For when the container for Life-
the body- fianly fails,
Life springs away,
and is as free as the
running antilope.
And whenever Life leaves
this world,
new Life comes in
to take its place.
For all things are born anew
because Life never ends.
That is Life.
