She lived her life care free
and fancy and free
and having a drink or two
wasn't so hard to do
because back in those days
in the seventies
almost everyone
did the same thing
Times are so different now
because times have changed
These days if you drive
and just have one drink
they don't just slap you on the back
and send you home like they used to do
They end up taking you to jail
This is a sad story
about someone that I know
who should have known better
But it is way to late for her now
because she is already in the slammer
Hopefully it will be a wake up call for her
and it will also change her for the better
Through out the years
she had more then one DUI
and many of them she had back to back
And because of it
she has now ended up
going to the penitentiary
She didnt hurt anyone
she just drank and drove
one to many times for her own good
She lived her life care free
and fancy and free
and having a drink or two
wasn't so hard to do

(I am sure many of you have stories to tell
and I am also sure that you have
also learned your lessons well
For me it took an act of God
to stop drinking and driving
and now I hardly ever drink at all)
