 FINAL    DAY

When the final day closes in on us
The very last day on this earth
I will always remember what you meant to me
And just how much your love was worth

Knowing you, having you in my life
Has been a wonderful treasure to behold
A piece of you is always with me
Like a love letter to unfold

Your eyes speak of that love for me
A steady stare that holds me fixed
Nothing I would ever do to taint that love
No words to say would I ever risk

In the last moments of that final day
I want to quench my view of your form
Ever and ever my memory will never fade of you
Etched in a special place that I will keep warm
