You and I(my first and only love poem) You can run, you can hide, but I will never leave your side. Can't you see that it's me? Come, together we'll be free. I don't hurt, I don't bite, trust me, it will be alright. You're afraid, yes I know. Don't worry, we'll take it slow. Though the fear and the pain, trying desperately to remain sane, I will be there, just for you, if I can be brave, you can too. We must stand for what is right. Will you flee, or will you fight? We could fail, we could lose, but our fate will be ours to choose. Think of the places we could go, the things to see, if only you would come and stand by me. You and I could do great things, or we could simply dream small dreams. I would gladly give my life for you. There's nothing for you I would not do. You and I are destined to be together, in this world, and in the one that lasts forever. I will care for you with an undying love, let it be proclaimed by the God above. That you and I are meant to be. Come, open your eyes and see. It's time to let go of your fear, now that you have someone to hold you dear. So please don't run, please don't' hide, you'll always be safe at my side. - Copyright by Sloane J. 2007 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
