Because when you hold me, I know you don't care
and when I say good-bye, I know it feels good
and when you look in my direction, I know I'm invisible
and you're really seeing whoever she is
But I pretend that you love me
and I pretend that I'm the only one
and you cant live without me.
And it's that false hope that gets me through the day
because I know it's almost over, but I want this dream to stay.
But no matter how much my heart bleeds, the blood goes unseen
because you'd naturally choose a rosebud over a wilting weed.
So, all that's left to say is this journey has been fun
but all good things eventually end
and so our "good thing" is almost done...
