Nothing like this is ever easy

(In situations like this
we need to take two steps back
and hopefully find a peaceful solution)
Nothing like the is ever easy
But some how I will try
to get through all of this
if you do decide
what we have had together
for all these years is over
All I can do it to try
to be supportive
and understanding
Nothing like this
is ever easy
But some how
I will try to find a way
to keep an open mind
What makes
this whole situation
so hard for me to understand
is that you have always said
that you would stand
beside me to the very end
Because we have
always been
best friends
That's why everything
that is happening right now
is so hard for me to imagine
From the very beginning
you have always set it in stone
that you have never loved anyone
as much as you have loved me
And I keep
asking myself
one question
If you love me
as much as you say you do
then how could you ever
let what we have
together be through
Now I am feeling
left out and alone
and torn and withdrawn
Because I could never
have imagined
that this day would come
Nothing like the is ever easy
But some how I will try
to get through all of this

for all these years is over
