Faith & Hope

Sharing my pillow, I'll sleep with both
oddly as this may seem...
I achieve security and comfort- mental growth
Faith watched over while I prune my evergreen,

One summer day, Faith came closer...
when I retired to my hammock, their to sleep
after having potted my Oleander,
just flew on me, decided I'd be- his keep

Hope lived in her tree-nest
watching from afar...
gathering twigs, when she stopped to rest,
quietly- I had the urge to look closer,

a skimpy nest I thought, gusty winds blew
onto the rim of my hat,
just as I looked-up, down she flew,
the fall was broken- imagine that

Today, on my shoulders, they will be
where I go- they go, no wings will I clip,
fate would have it, to bestow them on me
not a cage will I build for them to slip,

If you have no mate,
want to date-  this tip for you my love
aim for my brim, straight
into my arms, like Faith & Hope- my Doves
