In Your Colouring Book
Colour me the brightest gold
And I will be your morning sun
To light your day, to give you warmth
From early morn till day is done
Colour me the deepest blue
And I will be your clearest sky
Rain will never mar your days
All stormy clouds will pass you by
Colour me a vibrant green
And I will be a towering tree
Growing skywards, ever skywards
Affording shade my love to thee
Colour me the shiniest silver
And I will be a flickering star
Twinkling through your open window
Thinking of you, from afar
Colour me the darkest black
And I will be your hours of night
Protecting you while you sleep soundly
Till darkest black turns to golden light
Colour me every shade of red
And I will be your twilight years
With you in happiness and in sorrow
To hear your laughter, to dry your tears
