When we are young

You are to young to
have all these problems
But after thinking
about it for awhile
it brings me back
to when I was young
And I have to admit
I went through my
own journey of exploration
and I did go through
a period of confusion
and at the time I actually thought
that it was depression
But as I got older I began to notice
that things got a lot better
and life wasn't such an illusion anymore
I was just going
through growing pains
back then
like each and every one of us has
Life throws many curve balls at us
especially when we are young
and at the time we may not understand
Because we are still naive
and we have to figure things out on our own
and then we finally do get beyond the confusion
This is when we
begin to recognize
our own identity
for the very first time
and we realize it
really wasn't depression
You will find your way
and you will find
your place in life
because you will
grow up soon
It is just going to take you
a little more time
Hang in there
and hold on tight
and you will get past the storm
