I have walked alone for way to long

I have walked alone for way to long
and the emptiness that I feel
has begun to be more then I can bare

I have reached a pivotal place
where I recognize that I can not live
like this anymore

Lord please hear my sorrows
and my sadness
as I call out your name

Because I need your intervention
and I truly do need your help
so that you can take away
this internal pain
and make me brand new and whole again

Dear Lord fill my mind
with vibrant colors
and take away the dark shadows
that lie deep within my mind

Please wipe away
these hurtful feelings
that I have
carried inside of me
for way to long

I know that I must
set aside all my pride
when I call out your name

Because I know that this is the only way
that you will truly be willing to intervene

I have reached a point
where I cannot live
my life this way
for another day
or I will simply vanish
into the lonely sea and fade away

I have walked alone for way to long
and the emptiness that I feel
has begun to be more then I can bare
