A part of me doesn't understand
why I have to feel this way
Because when ever
you are not around me
I find myself feeling extremely lonely
I can see that you are being
slowly taken away from me
in little bits and pieces every day
You have always told me that you love me
and I honestly do believe you
You have never given me
any reason to think differently
Because you have always reminded me
that I was everything
that you ever wanted me to be and more
But lately you have told me
that a part of you is being pulled away
And if you have to go away
I will understand completely
Because I understand just how much you miss your family
And I know just how important they all are to you
That's why I feel like I can
understand if you have to go away
Because I understand that you
love all of us equally
I have always told you
that you could go away
anytime that you wanted to
so that you could spend all the time
that you needed to with your family
And I have always told you
that I am willing to go the distance with you
and that I would also wait for you patiently
Because deep down inside I know
just how important that is to you
I think I can understand now
why a part of you keeps trying to set me free
Because there have been many times
and many occasions
when I felt like you
were intentionally trying to push me away
Not because you don't want to be with me
and its not because you don't love me
Because you have told me repeatedly
that you will always love me forever and a day
But the main reason I think you are doing
what you are doing to me
is because you are trying to let me go easily
without ever having to hurt me intentionally
What ever the story may be
and what ever you must do
I will understand you
but I must also remind you
that I will always
love you unconditionally
If you have to go away
I will always
miss you immensely
forever and a day
