A Friend In Need

You are a Friend in need,
You are a Friend so much in need,

I really need You to be with me not only during the ups and downs
but also when the days are sunny,

I need You right now more than ever, Love, not only do I need You but
I really, really want You,

I really need You to protect me not only from the evil of this world
but also from the evil within myself especially since I am my own worst
enemy,

I cannot survive without You even if I wanted to, I not only need You
to forgive me but I also need You to convict me and admonish me,

I need You to please tell me to STOP when my words, thoughts, actions,
and intentions aren't pleasing to You,

I also need You to please tell me to STOP when I allow my desires to get
in the way of my relationship with You,

To be honest with You, I am very weak without Your love, Your grace, Your
mercy and even Your conviction,

I will always depend on You to convict me no matter how holy I get, no
matter how righteous I become, no matter how close I come to You,

Whether I am alone or with friends and family, I know that You are always
watching over me,

And I also know that I can't deceive You no matter what I do, what I say,
or what I think especially since Your wisdom and knowledge is so much
greater than mine,

I need You to please help me to focus on things that are pleasing to You
rather than the things that are displeasing to You for You have got
everything and everybody, including me, in Your loving hands,

And You are a Very Good Friend so much in need,
I need You to please be with me not only right now but I need You to
please be with me until the end of time in the name of Love!
