She drank for many years

She drank for many years
and she has finally stopped
She knows she has to
fight every day
So that she can continue
to live with sobriety
No one ever said
it would be easy
Believe me I know
because I used to
drink as well
and for many years
my life was a living hell
The first year is the hardest
after that is becomes easier
as the years go by
I truly am proud of her
because she is my sister
and I truly do wish her well
