 Memories of You
For Debbie

Black velvet in the afternoon
Red velvet at night
And the veils
That dress my world
Tantalize me…
Then the taste of your kiss
Flood my mind
And the world disappears
just before I swerve
out of the way
of the semi…
Horns blaring
Lights jolting
Adrenaline pumping
And my loins
Ache for you
Again.
Starlight reflects
On my water glass
Snapping me back
To the present
And rich melodies
Fill my ears
And I slip into the tones
Of your moan in my ear…
Why is it I can't stay here?
The fruit
Fresh cut melts in my mouth
And the apple slices are crisp
Tangy and delicious
Nothing I do in the present
Saves me from my memory
Of making love to you.
