Whether you are near or you are far away
I often find myself going to bed early
so that I can meet you in my dreams
But I usually find myself
waking up later in the night
Because in my dreams
I can honestly sense
and feel you holding me closely
as if you were right next to me
I usually wake up abruptly
because I feel like you
are back in my arms again
and not so far away from home
I think that this is
the reason that I am able to
feel you beside me like I do
when ever I am dreaming about you
because we are both physically
and emotionally connected
to each other in such a profound way
And I honestly do believe
Whether you are near or you are far away
That you and I will always be
connected to each other
in a very special way
