My Distress CallBeen living with multiple fear Unknown fright I must conquer A trip might do the trick Or I'll end up a nervous freak From the bush I came forth For a holiday further south To explore the world if I may And satisfy my curiosity Airport bustle and hassles Glad to pass the obstacles Proudly I smiled and buckled my belt Though hands shaky, damp with sweat Higher than the clouds we soared Then in unison my knees trembled Plane shuddered and jerked with the wind A most bumpy ride I thought was my end Mayday! Mayday! I called in distress Lord open up your gates, please Have mercy, admit this sinful spirit On earth, I did try doing my best Eyes tightly closed I feel comforted Knowing my pleas were often answered I saw a vision of angels gliding As they carried us to a safe landing.
