Across the road, from where I stood
A house, was becokening to me
Everything, inside seemed right and good
Brightly lit . . . For all to see
It cast a peaceful glow, in the night
Inviting . . . So simplistically serene
The light within seemed so bright
Yet, peaceful, do you know what I mean?
It reminded me of what Jesus said
"Let your light shine" He meant, you and me
Not to keep it under a bushel, instead
But to let it shine . . . Bright and free
That light will shine upon your face
In your eyes, it will glisten
People will know, Jesus fills the space
Giving testimony, they will listen
For your "Light within" will be a sign
For all that look and see
Faith, goodness, love, joy and peace
All traits . . . Of Christianity!
Have you ever met someone that seemed to "Sparkle" I mean they just glowed?
I have and I knew right away, they had "Jesus" in them. They had a sparkle to their eyes. A smile that never seemed to quit, and a joy . . . Unspeakable!
Oh, I am sure they have their share of problems, sorrows, etc. Yet, they know how to let "God" handle all of those. They truly understand the meaning of "Resting In His Arms!"
That "Light" or "Glow" emanates from the Holy Spirit living within them.
Yes I believe with all my heart that we have an empty space within our hearts. This empty space can only be filled by the "Holy Spirit" and when He is invited to live within us . . . we can't help, but to let our light shine!
