If I should die while I am asleep

If I should die
while I am asleep

I pray and hope that you wont
go through to much heart ache
and that you wouldn't weep

Instead I would hope
that you would celebrate

Because the good Lord
had kept his promise
by bringing me back home
before I wake

I know it will be difficult
and it will be hard for you to take

But the good Lord will make sure
that angels will comfort you
as they watch over you
through every day and every night

If I should die
while I am asleep
