It is never easy saying goodbye

I went over to a friends
house the other day
And as we began to talk
I found out that his mother
had recently passed away
As we were talking I could see
the tears as they started
falling down from his eyes
And he tried really hard to hide his pain
and I told him it was okay
because I am his friend
and that I could completely understand
He reminded me that it wasn't easy
and I told him that
I honestly understood why
Because I had already gone through
what he is going through in every way
It is never easy saying goodbye
All I can do for now
is to try to comfort him
so I can try to help him
get through the storm
