The Right to Choose
It might be your desire,
Do what sets your heart afire;
But many things are not good,
And not to do as you would.
God gave the right to choose,
In order for you to refuse;
To reason what is good or bad,
Making Him happy or sad.
In having indecent thoughts,
Sinfully immoral blots;
God writes in the book of life,
That causes eternal strife.
But abiding in the Lord,
And His Word is not ignored;
Through the Spirit you are one,
With the Father and the Son.
You are no longer alone,
Since no longer on your own;
Because God paid a great price,
Letting such a sacrifice.
