So many years

So many years
have gone by
And I cannot deny
that I wish they would
have gone by more slowly
Because if they did
I would have done
everything differently
I just wish that
I was more focused
back then
Because I would
have had a completely
different plan
and I would have
been more prepared
to deal with inflation
and the cost of living
I know I cannot
turn back
the hands of time
But if I could
it would have been
a whole different story
and I would have
been able to
handle my own reality
and what is to come
