I will never forget that day
when you passed away
on a Saturday
I knew in my heart
that you would
earn your wings
so that you could fly
But it was really
hard for me
especially when I had
to let go of you unselfishly
But I knew that I had to
because it was
the right thing to do
so that you could be free
Honestly I really
couldn't see you
suffer for another day
Because I truly did
love you then
as much as I do now
and I always will love you
in a very special way
