I watched you
smiling last night
while you were sleeping
And I quietly
whispered
into your ear
attempting to
fill your mind
with words of inspiration
as I gently played with your hair
And I must admit
that I am thankful
and greatful
to be able to catch you
when you are
at peace with yourself
while you are dreaming
