He has been with you
since the day that you were born
and he has never been a stranger to you
because he has been beside you all along
He is the summer and he is the winter
and he is the fall and the spring
and he is the wind and the rain
And if you take a good look around you
he is everywhere and in everything
from the clouds in the sky
to the stars in the night
from all the flowers that bloom
to all the butterflies
that came from a cocoon
He is the rivers and the lakes and the ponds
and he is the ocean that brings such
beauty and tranquility
And he is the creator of what is
and what will be
because he is the alpha
and the omega
Is he a stranger to you
or have you walked beside him all along
Because he is the difference
between Heaven and hell
which we all know to well
He has been with you
since the day that you were born
and he has never been a stranger to you
Because he has been
beside you all along
Because he is
and he always will be
our Lord and savior
to the very end
