The old man down the street

The old man down the street
would sit outside every day
on the bed of his pick up truck
that he had parked in his drive way
ever since his wife passed away
And when ever people
would drive by
he would always smile
and he would wave and say hi
But the other day when I drove by
all I could see was a house that
was empty
It is hard to imagine
what happened to the old man
I just hope he is in a place where he is happy
and no longer lonely like he used to be
