You fell in love
with someone
who never had
any intentions
of ever staying around
And now that you
have been left behind
you are hurting inside
and your feeling
forgotten and alone
Because you are going through
a bad case of empty nest syndrome
He got what he wanted
and now he is gone
Hopefully you have
learned a very important
lesson from all of this
so that you don't make
the same mistake all over again
At least you are still young
enough to turn things around
so that you can be happy again
