A man and a woman

A man and a woman
were enjoying a
peaceful day together
as a couple
out by the lake
and it was something
that they didn't get to do
as often as they would like to
So they truly enjoyed
every moment that they could
They skipped rocks off the water
and they enjoyed watching the ducks
as they swam by in groups together
And they also enjoyed watching
the turtles sitting on top of the logs
as they enjoyed the warmth of the sun
And they even caught
a glimpse of a crane
as it stood in the shallow waters
waiting to catch its meal for the day
The day turned out to be
a pretty good one that day
and the time had passed by
ever so quickly
It was one of those kind of days
that they never wanted to end
Because they truly did
enjoy the peace and tranquility
But at least this was another moment
that could be added to there book
of wonderful memories
sharing there life together
on a nice romantic get away
