My mind refreshes memories of tales, reminding me that my imagination is
only as real as I allow it to be.

Embellished stories of fiction or non-fiction.
Is it possible for a character to encore another's charms?
Or does my heart harden, turning black as the deepest ocean?
The hardening of my heart depends solely upon its characters.
Tales of love, mystery, pain, and time travel.
Stories I will continue to read over and over again.
For my mind craves each new adventure.
A way to leave my own world behind and live the life of another person.
Soaking their world into my brain making it more real to me than
reading the book. "I LOVE TO READ!!" screams my heart and mind.
Living the life of another human and to be so totally encompassed into their
world, I forget about the reality of mine.
My escape is all too clear.
