Forever and a day

I often find myself thinking
of all the times
that we shared together
through the years
And it has always been my pleasure
to spend what ever time I could spend with you
But some times life throws arrows our way
when we least expect them too
Yet we often find a way
to hold our head up high
so that we can get past
what ever comes our way
Yet some how we have always
been able to get to the next level
because we have always believed in each other
But this time around
it's going to be very difficult for me
as it has always been
Because every time when
ever you do have to go away
it truly does become much harder for me
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that
I am not as young as I used to be
and neither are you and we both
end up being very lonely
But some times in life
we have to make sacrifices
and some how in the long run
it makes us much stronger
then we used to be
Just try to remember
one thing while you are away
that as long as I am alive
that I will always love you
forever and a day
