This poem was written by a good friend of mine, Affia, she wrote it with the thought of helping me out in a poem I was stuck with, such was the force of her writing I suggested she write it out for her own sakes as it needed to be written!!! here is the result!
forcing us together
across oceans so far
the joining of the mind
seems easier said than done
but as the eyes meet
so the minds forge
exchanging knowledge held deep
baring souls stark naked
not a shroud to keep
and withold the power
as the light shines bright
filling old corners
bringing new power
to webs long forgotten
they spread their wings and fly
rejoicing the new birth
the welcoming of the leader
long awaited, for centuries
the clouds they seem to gather
each part coming closer
now merging into one
protecting the birth
from the evil glares
shielding the new born
allowing them the first breath
of pure virgin air
not touched by lips before
they expand and gain form
something more visible
than a mere shadow
of what pre-existed
but couldn't quite fight
so the meeting of the mind
brought forth new creatures
ones with new emotions
new words to fill with
begin a new world
and give new light the path
to shine strong and bright
until the light begins to fade
and the minds have become narrow
so we will need two new minds
to come together and recreate
begin the world again
grant new words new life
retain meaning from the old
keep the wisdom in new form
