Night Fear
Silenced is my scream in the dark.
Hushed is its terrifying sound.
My body releasing its pent up tension.
No noise has this place to be found.
Black is the night of the heart.
No light is able to shine through.
Cold is its permanent emptiness,
As the fear inside me grew.
Haunting waves of a panicked soul,
Rush forward in my mind.
Scared to touch what surrounds my shaking body,
Afraid of what I will find.
The fear inside me grows stronger,
As I begin to grow weak.
Darkness engulfs my mind and body,
And its the light that I seek.
But light is consumed by the blackness.
Ne'er to be shone forever more.
No sound was heard ever again in it.
For reality had lost its war.
