When you look in the mirror......what do you see?
When you think about the future.....what do you see?
When you lie awake late at night......what do you see?
When your mind takes flight.....what do you see?
When there is no sound....what do you hear?
When you observe the ground....what do you hear?
When the wind blows by you....what do you hear?
When you look up into the sky so blue......what do you hear?
When you hold your child so dear....what do you feel?
When you run your hands in water so clear....what do you feel?
When you love up on your favorite pet....what do you feel?
When your eyes are closed for a present you get....what do you feel?
When you put a piece of fruit to your lips....what do you taste?
When you allow its juices to drip.....what do you taste?
When you are climbing your favorite tree....what do you taste?
When you realize that you are free....what do you taste?
When dinner is cooking on your stove....what do you smell?
When you walk out in a fruit grove....what do you smell?
When you slowly walk down the street....what do you smell?
When you pass by the people that you greet....what do you smell?
These are small things to us that most take for granted in life.
These are the bigger things that many miss out on due to their strife.
So enjoy the little things that we think will always be there.
For someday they will be long gone, and we will have emptiness to bear.
