His final destination

Sam dealt with his daily
routines with precision
and he would always
start his morning
with a prayer

dividers

He would take a shower
he would get dressed
and he would get a quick bite to eat
and he would drink a cup of coffee

dividers

Then he would walk
out the door to start his car
and he would drive down the road
like he always did
down to the local train station
and once he parked his car
he would look for a nice place to sit
and someone would always approach him
and they would start talking to him
and he always enjoyed that
because it would help to pass the time
until the train would arrive

dividers

Then when the train
finally did arrive
he would get on board
like he always did
and conductor Joe
would always be there
to say good morning to him

dividers

And Sam always knew
that he had a long ride ahead of him
and he would usually fall asleep
and he would start dreaming
and in his dream
he would always wake up
to conductor Joe's voice saying
last stop to Huckabee

dividers

And this time around Sam would rub his eyes
because he couldn't believe what he was seeing
when he looked outside of his window
because everyone seemed so happy and giddy
without a care in the world

dividers

And Sam knew this was
a place where he wanted to be
and not just in his dreams
because he had never seen anything
so peaceful and relaxing

dividers

So Sam got all of his things together
and made sure everything was in order
and he got up and went down the isle
so that he could get off of the train

dividers

And when he finally stepped out the door
there was a big crowd outside
waiting for him and to his amazement
when he looked at all of there faces
he realized that it was all of his loved ones
who had already passed on who were welcoming him home

dividers

This time around
Sam wasn't in a dream
and he wasn't going to
a small town called Huckabee
like he thought he was

dividers

You see Sam died that day peacefully
he just didn't know it then
and when he got on the train
he was  heading to his final destination called Heaven
