They left there imprints behind

They left there imprints behind
with there thoughts that they
had instilled into my mind
repetitively on a daily basis
They also taught me right from wrong
and when ever I was down
they would lift me back up again
and they always encouraged me
to be the best that I could possibly be
If I ever failed at anything
they would encourage me
never to give up and to try again
From there daily guidance and there direction
they had planted seeds into my mind with perfection
that they have left behind with a lasting impression
They have both been gone now
for a very long time
And there isn't a day that goes by
that I don't find myself thinking about them
because I do miss them and all the beautiful memories
that we used to share together when they were living
Now they're soul prints will live within
the very essence of my being
to carry on the family tradition
